How does that look ?
Michael Daley was the latest winner of our quarterly draw (May – August). Micheal and a group of his friends travelled around Ireland with us for eight days, enjoying some of our best distillery visits along the way! Check out the programme they booked below. This was a bespoke programme prepared after numerous consultations with the group:
Day 1
- Transfer to Dublin City
- Teeling Whiskey Distillery – tour and Distillery Select Tasting with Dr. John Teeling
- Pearse Lyons Distillery tour and Trilogy Tasting
- Dinner in Bang Restaurant
- Return to Malahide
- Overnight the Grand Hotel Malahide for 7 guests
Day 2
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Depart from hotel for the midlands of Ireland
- Visit and tasting at Kilbeggan Distillery
- Depart for Athlone
- Lunch at the Bailey bar
- New tour of the Tullamore D.E.W. plant with various tastings
- Return to Grand Hotel
- Dinner at Sienna’s Restaurant, Malahide
Day 3
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Bags loaded onto touring bus and depart for Northern Ireland. Two hour coach transit to first distillery. Comfort break built into the timings (halfway at Castlebellingham)
- Visit and tasting at Hinch Distillery
- Depart for Downpatrick and The St Patrick Centre
- Lunch at the St Patrick Centre with free time to discover the exhibition
- Depart for Donaghadee
- Informal visit and tasting at The Copeland Distillery
- Depart for Belfast and arrive Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast
- Dinner at hotel
Day 4
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Depart hotel for the Causeway Coastal Route
- Visit Old Bushmills Distillery with tasting
- Lunch at the Causeway Hotel
- Visit to the Giant’s Causeway. Self-guided (one hour thirty minutes recommended)
- Return to Belfast
- Dinner at Deane’s Meat Locker
- Overnight the Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast
Day 5
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Bags loaded and depart Belfast for County Wicklow. Two hour thirty minutes transit. Comfort break included in the timings.
- Powerscourt Distillery. Lunch on arrival.
- Tour and tasting at Powerscourt Distillery
- Depart for Pembroke Hotel Kilkenny
- Dinner at Langton’s Pub
Day 6
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Bags loaded and depart for Waterford
- Terroir Tour at Waterford Whiskey
- Lunch at The Granary Cafe, Hanover Street
- Depart Waterford for Midleton
- Jameson Distillery Midleton – Jameson Experience Tour with Premium Tasting
- Dinner in Sage Restaurant Midleton
- Overnight the Castlemartyr Resort
Day 7
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Bags loaded and depart for west Cork
- Tour and tasting at Clonakilty Distillery
- Lunch at The Courtyard Bar
- Depart for Kerry
- Arrive Great Southern Hotel
- Free time to enjoy the town
- Early dinner at hotel
- Coach transfer to Killarney Racecourse
- Celtic Steps at Killarney Racecourse
- Overnight at the Great Southern Hotel Killarney
Day 8
- Full Irish Breakfast at the hotel at leisure
- Depart hotel and experience a sheepdog demonstration at Caitin’s
- Back to Killarney
- Lunch at Celtic Whiskey Bar
- Lakeview Estate and the home of Wayward Irish Spirits with Maurice O’Connell
- Return to hotel
- Free time to pack etc./last minute shopping.
- 8pm – dinner at Bricín (walking distance from hotel)
- Overnight the Great Southern Hotel Killarney
